If you're not familiar with Geneen Roth's books, you may not enjoy this as you would if you're a fan of hers. I've read all of her books, which are excellent. This book is good, and it goes into her past relationship with her dad, which wasn't as "perfect" as she recalled. She goes a little easier on her mom, who she seemed to bash somewhat in her other books. It clears up a lot of her issues with food & relationships, which helps the reader who has issues with food & eating.
